The Psicobloc Masters Series will take place August 4 at Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah. Qualifiers will be held Friday, August 3 and Seeding + Finals rounds will be on Saturday, August 4. Watch the best free-solo climbers in the world compete head to head in a race to the top our 55 foot climbing wall over our 1.25 million gallon Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool. Psicobloc (aka Deep Water Soloing) is a form of solo climbing over a (deep) body of water. Psicobloc is undoubtedly one of the most unique and purest forms of climbing. Elite climbers like Chris Sharma make regular pilgrimages to exotic locales like Mallorca to push the envelope of technical climbing and experience the special challenge afforded by Psicobloc. August 3 - Qualifier Everyone is invited to come compete! The top 4 fastest competitors from each gender in Qualifiers will pass through to the “seeding” round with the invited climbers at the Olympic Park Pool the next night to compete against the pros. All participants of the Seeding round will have a guaranteed place in the Psicobloc Finals. Times TBD. August 4 - Seeding A field of 16 men and 16 women will compete to determine who they will be facing in the opening round of Saturday’s finals. Come watch every competitor tackle the wall multiple times to determine their seed. Climbing begins at 6 pm and doors open at 5 pm. August 4 - Finals Welcome to the BIG show. Watch the top 16 men and the top 16 women go head-to-head in a dual climbing format while competing for a $20,000 cash purse.
